THE PHIL FODEN'S PRESSING MATTER

Phil Foden briefly left England's Euro 2024 camp earlier this week to attend the birth of his third child. The Football Association (FA) described it as a "pressing family matter," and manager Gareth Southgate fully supported Foden's decision. After spending time with his partner and newborn, Foden rejoined the squad on Friday in preparation for England's last-16 match against Slovakia on Sunday.

On the pitch, there has been some debate regarding the effectiveness of England’s attacking lineup, with Foden, Jude Bellingham, and Harry Kane reportedly needing better positional discipline to thrive together. Kane has acknowledged their struggles but remains optimistic that the trio can gel as they gain more experience playing as a unit.
